ACPI----這到底是什麼東西???

請各位高手幫忙為小弟解惑?
CPU:XP 1600+
M/B:GA-7VRX
BIOS:7VRX.F6
O.S:win xp

開機時出現籃底白字如下之畫面
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you’ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor or visit http://www.hareware-update.com for an updated BIOS. If you are unable to obtain an updated or the latest BIOS supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant , you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed-it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue you installation.

作業系統重灌偵測硬體時當機,後來重新開機數次勉強進入,但系統裝置中有一項:SCI IRQ used by ACPI Bus是錯誤的
請問ACPI到底是什麼
又該如何解決此一問題

ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface),
電源管理有關,

去bios setup把它關掉,

奇怪灌一百篇了, 怎麼沒有兩顆星?

這.......
很難知道是哪錯誤
不過記憶體壞掉的機率很大
跟別人界一條記憶體來試看看

謝謝cinpin指導,不過BIOS裡好像已無此項設定.
也謝謝煩煩指導,我再試試
如果其他仁兄還有其他指導也請告訴我
我真的快被煩死了

灌水灌太兇了, 沒有看清楚訊息, sorry!!
那個訊息是說

1. 要更新bios,但你的bios已是最新的,

2. 所以無法更新bios時,
下次安裝XP時, 請在文字模式下安裝,
在提示要安裝儲存媒體(硬碟,光碟)時, 請按F7,
系統會無聲無息的取消ACPI(完全沒有訊息)
